PennAero manufactures externally threaded structural fasteners, gears, latches and manifolds for Western airframe and engine manufacturers who supply Boeing, Airbus and other aerospace OEMs. In addition, the company manufactures high-performance components out of unique metals and composites for the semiconductor equipment market. PennAero’s U.S. headquarters supports engineering and manufacturing centers in California, Pennsylvania, India and Singapore. 

In July 2024, Tinicum established PennAero by combining PMI (acquired in June 2023), Briles Aerospace (September 2022) and American Drilling (March 2018). PennAero seeks to acquire aerospace businesses with differentiated and proprietary component designs, manufacturing processes and engineering abilities.
